Dallas-based Fashion Label To Donate 20 Percent of Event Sales to Kidd's Kids 

DALLAS - The Katydid Collection will sponsor the upcoming Rock the Block party in Uptown Dallas on Saturday, July 11. Thousands are expected at the block party to enjoy live music, games, food, drinks and Big Al as master of ceremonies. In addition, party goers can check out the latest styles from the Katydid Collection, with giveaways from the company's popular line of women's and men's (Mattox for men by Katydid) tees every hour.

"We are excited to participate in the Rock the Block event and enjoy the great nightlife that Uptown Dallas has to offer," said Katydid Collection owner Katy Messersmith.  "More importantly, we are pleased to sponsor an event benefitting two worthwhile organizations."

The Uptown event takes place in the 3300 block of McKinney Avenue from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. this Saturday. Admission is $10, and proceeds benefits Kidd's Kids and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
