Dallas, TX (May 4, 2009) - Katydid Collection owner Katy Messersmith is using her fashions to fund one of her favorite passions: charity. Now through May 31st, the Texas native will donate one dollar to charity for every new fan that signs up on her contemporary clothing label's Facebook page. - Facebook - "I've been amazed by the vast reach of Facebook and wanted to find a way to put that to good use," she says. "By donating one dollar per fan, I saw this as a way for not only my company to give back but also to challenge individuals to get involved and use their social connections for charity." Launched April 25th, the page already has close to 1000 fans. Katy's ultimate goal is to make a large donation to her favorite Dallas non-profits; Paws In The City, Attitudes & Attire, and Friends of Katy Trail. About Katydid Collection -
